It also looks good with a 1" sashing, and having another 12" block to alternate with. I have used our Tangled Star in the illustration.
This die needs a cutter with at least a 10" opening

Cuts 6 layers of 100% cotton (recommended), although it can cut up to 8 layers occasionally. Especially with strip cutters as they have no stress on the blades.
