This die requires a cutter with at least a 10" opening
The die uses a 10" x 10" cutting mat (2101) (Included). This is designed to make sewing large clamshells easy. Use scraps from your stash or fussy cut a favourite fabric, to construct a unique piece.
Put the clamshells for the first row, right sides together and sew, clip seams and turn right way out and press. Catch the base of each arch with a few stitches, so that you have a row of arches.
Sew the next of individual clamshells to the row above.
Continue until its finished!
These can also be hand sewn by using paper templates. Machine sew or even a mixture, you can make some interesting designs with this.
There are endless possibilities to assembling the pieces.
At last, an Australian made cutting die that can fit in most brands of Fabric Cutters. Cuts 6 layers of 100% cotton (recommended), although it can cut 8 layers occasionally.
In some roller or press machines, with a non adjustable opening, an excellent shim can be achieved by using two of our mats underneath the die and one on top as it goes through the rollers, and then they can be used to replace older mats as they wear.
