A vintage block made modern!
This is not quite your usual grandmother's fan; the Art Deco look lends itself to vintage fabrics. This is our interpretation of the classic block of the same name, also called Empress.
Unlike the two-die set, (6983) this die requires you to either join the focus square, as you sew the "petals" thus eliminating a Y seam, or fan fold over the engrave line, and making a Y seam to finish.
All parts on one dies, needs a cutter with at least a 10" opening.
There are three "petals" that can be fan folded to pick out tones... mix and match with others around your project.
Uses a 10" x 15" cutting mat (2015) INCLUDED!
Cuts 6 layers of 100% cotton (recommended), although it can cut 8 layers occasionally.
