This 4" x 8" chisel has an allowance for a 1/4 inch seam.
It was made to make use of layer cakes, a great help for those that have trouble cutting squares or strips. 
To make the windmill block, you will need a 4" finished half square triangle, we have 6087, 6187 and 6387, or you may have others

It needs a cutter that can use a 10" wide die
We include the cutting mat!  (2101) 10" x 10"
At last, an Australian made cutting die that can fit in most brands of Fabric Cutters. Cuts 6 layers of 100% cotton (recommended), although it can cut 8 layers occasionally.  

In some cutters, such as Sizzix, an excellent shim can be achieved by using two of our mats underneath the die and one on top as it goes through the rollers, and then can be used to replace older mats as they wear.

Remember, you get one mat with each die!
