This particular die will turn any 12" finished round block into a 12" square block.  
It can be used to square off the Double Wedding Ring blocks if they are assembled "on Point" as in the sample below
For the "side by side" Double Wedding Ring, you will need 6977. 
Mind you, if you have die 6071 Double Wedding Ring, you can also make each individual block and sew them up together to make a squared quilt top.
It needs a cutter that can use a 10" wide die.
We include the cutting mat!  (2101) 10" x 10"

Not included, but available separately it is CL1010

Cuts 6 layers of 100% cotton (recommended), although it can cut up to 8 layers occasionally. Especially with strip cutters as they have no stress on the blades.

In some cutters, such as Sizzix, an excellent shim can be achieved by using two of our mats underneath the die and one on top as it goes through the rollers, and then can be used to replace older mats as they wear.
Remember, you get one mat with each die!
