The top quilt is "Monkeys in My Hair (Evie)" by Deborah S. Hyde won the Handi Quilter Best of Show award at Houston 2023. The more you look, the more strange items you see in her hair. It is incredible!
My highlight of the quilt market and festival in Houston was not only chatting to Kaffe, Liza Lucy and Brandon, but I won a door prize of KFC wideback! We arrived at the airport on the 26th and were greeted by Carol Ann, and even though exhausted, we spent a few hours chatting, organising the next day's timetable before getting a great night's sleep.
I am calling the photo above my "before" photo and am going to try to slim down a bit. I had a wonderful time, and the quilts on display were incredible too. Helen Godden was there, as was her masterpiece, My Australia

There were hundreds of quilts, so I will try and add more as I get to go through all the photos. On the way home we stopped in New Zealand to catch up with my siblings, which of course was wonderful!
It's starting to look like Christmas around these parts. There are Stars everywhere! No blaring announcement, no secrets to keep, just there for you to enjoy!
